Delivering Healthcare and Education to
Underprivileged Women and Children Across
East Africa

About Us

The Dr. Rose Foundation operates throughout East Africa, offering critical surgical, medical, and pharmaceutical assistance to underprivileged women and children. Additionally, we extend educational opportunities to vulnerable children within the private school system, and empower underprivileged women by facilitating the establishment of small businesses.

Our journey commenced in 2014 in Western Kenya, and our executive board and team boast extensive experience in the fields of medicine, healthcare, and corporate governance.

Our Endeavours

Collaborating with our partners and relevant authorities, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive surgical, medical, and psychiatric services to women and children. Our holistic trauma rehabilitation model encompasses thea provision of transportation, secure housing, and child custody when warranted by court orders for custody or guardianship. We also ensure access to basic necessities such as food and clothing, offer private tuition and educational support, and impart training and sponsorship for small business development.

Our work and services are primarily centred on the rehabilitation of survivors of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) and the management of injuries
resulting from SGBV and gender-based violence (GBV). This includes specialties in obstetrics and gynaecology (OB GYN), paediatrics (PAEDS), urology, colorectal interventions, female genital mutilation (FGM), and obstetric fistula.

Furthermore, we establish clear pathways for children to receive quality education through our child education sponsorship program within the private school system. Simultaneously, we empower women who have experienced violence by providing training in small business management and assisting them in establishing businesses with sustainable income streams.
